One of my character designs, Tysiphone, drawn by gotgituey [link] .

Tysiphone is a powerful former erinyes devil from Hell who has climbed the infernal hierarchy at a truly alarming rate in our current DnD campaign. Recently becoming head of the Culexyos erinyes coven after the death of the previous matriarch, as well as a Council Tongue for the Arcanovoric Order of Baator (a long term goal), her rise to power did not stop there. In an unprecedented move, Leviathan, lord of the 5th circle of Hell, promoted her to the noble rank of Marquess of Stygia. She was not the only devil promoted in this way, however, and Leviathan's true aims are unclear. Certainly it was not just good will on his part.

As one of the elite Arcanovores, she possesses insane strength, the ability to 'eat' magic to increase her power, and can destroy anything that taps into arcane energy outright. In the lower planes she is gaining a reputation as the cerulean comet, and few greater devils would cross her directly. She was contracted to ally with the great summoner Praetorius when she was still a normal erinyes devil, and continues to serve in that capacity. During the temporary disbandment of Praetorius' party she accompanied him across the outer planes as her duties allowed, even hosting a visit to Hell itself, including her domain in Stygia.
